rocking horse round midnight

I remember angel as you rocked back and forth

then I cradled you in my arms for to sleep and dream

we remembered your rocking horse

and we kept it for safe keeping

for decades

for years

now as the circle of life swings back and forth

and you are large with child round midnight

it will rock again
